Summary: Impeach Trump

When looking at the overall graph for interest in impeaching Trump, the graph had three different peaks, July 3rd, July 17th, and August 22nd. On July 3rd, Mexico held it’s 2018 presidential elections which Andrés Manuel López Obrador won. This election was tied to Trump because of concern for the upcoming nafta discussions and the future of the countries' relationship. For those who don’t support Trump, impeachment seems like a viable option, which was expressed as a peak in the searches on Google. The next peak, July 17th, Trump and Putin met in private without disclosing the content of the meeting in full. This was an event that reached both local and national news sources, concerning those who are opposed to Trump. Once again, impeachment seemed like a viable option. This was the highest number of searches recorded in the past 90 days. The third peak occurred on August 22nd. This was the same time period of the  federal investigation of Michael Cohen. This again raised questions about the authenticity of the current administration. When looking at these three events, we see noticable changes in interest in impeachment. The impeachment of Trump is a topic often on the news and social media but it is clear that certain events trigger a response leading to the peaks seen in the past 90 days.
